Methodology

Systematic Repetitions

My experience as a professional has taught me that technical execution at a high pace is everything. Therefore, I spend a lot of time correcting your mechanical breakdowns in great detail during our first few sessions. The pace of these sessions are intentionally slow to increase the number of repetitions and to check for understanding. We move into the next phase once the player demonstrates that their mechanics have become proficient.

Progression

Once a player becomes mechanically sound, I increase the speed at which they go through the drills. Doing this helps me determine where the mechanical breakdowns occur when the game gets faster. I provide feedback, check for understanding, and do demonstrations if necessary to correct the problem. There are fewer stoppages in this phase as the goal is to get them to execute the skill in the identified game situation. Once they demonstrate their ability to execute the technique at a high pace, we proceed to the next phase.

Variability

During the final phase, we increase the complexity of the drills. The goal is to remain mechanically sound while I introduce them to more complex situations.
